VINO MARCH 26, 2009 Randall Grahm - the way back is the way forward - part II From his base in Santa Cruz, he rose to fame (and a good bit of fortune) by following the path of grape varieties traditionally from the Rhone and Italy–with a dose of Zinfandel. SLAKED | FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008 2005 Ridge Vineyards Santa Cruz Mountain Estate Cabernet/Merlot Cruz Mtn. Maybe it's because of all the cheap French wines we've been drinking this week, but I keep thinking about this Sta. Estate 58% cabernet sauvignon and 42% merlot blend from Ridge Vineyards that we drank last week. This is no Monte Bello, but for a $30 bottle of meritage, this wine has it all. MORE >> -
SLAKED | MONDAY, JUNE 16, 2008 Seven Days Seven Wines Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mtns. The flood plains recede in Iowa, Al Gore endorses Obama, and I finally have a chance to note some of the wines we've been swirling around here. It's been a crazy week, sort of.
