A WINE STORY MAY 9, 2010 Rusack Vineyards in San Ynez received some samples from San Ynez-based Rusack vineyards, who are focused on producing outstanding handcrafted wines. The Reserve Chardonnay 2008 had excellent concentration of fruit and ripe, succulent flavors, while the 2008 Chardonnay had New World Finesse and good structural integration. Podere San Luigi Super Tuscan 1998

The wine I sampled was a 1998 SuperTuscan made from 85% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. On Monday evening, I attended a food and wine tasting organized by Grupo Ristoranti Italiani at Gotham Hall's Ballroom in NYC. There I met John L.
