| WINE TASTING GUY APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts At a wholesale price of about $150/bottle the 2005 Gemstone Cabernet (blended with 6% Petit Verdot) was another BIG NAPA CAB. The 2005 Altus Napa Cab was blended with 5% Malbec, Petit Verdot & Merlot (3 of the Bordeaux varietals) and was aged in 80% new medium toasted oak (a high percentage). don't know. great wine. | WINE TASTING GUY APRIL 15, 2008 "Today's Bordeaux" tasting event Many of these industry events are crowded and full of people from all areas of the wine industry that they become overwhelming. The 2005 Heritage De Le Bosco from Saint Estephe made with 60% Merlot, 26% Cab Sauv, 10% Petit Verdot & 4% Cab Franc has a surprisingly lite & clear red color.
