Washington state and its predominance of $20+ bottles (as reviewed in the two articles), its relative obscurity as a wine producing region, and its comparison to the Rhone valley reminded me a lot of.yup, the Israeli wine industry. Four of the six participants have some affiliation with the wine industry. Two work for a wine distributor, one works part time for a retailer and I have my many wine industry related activities. His 2004 Neiman Cellars Napa Valley Red is a blend of 1/3 Cab Sauvignon, 1/3 Merlot, & 1/3 Cab Franc. Maybach winery from the Napa Valley had one wine at the tasting. don't know. great wine.
