Tonight I uncorked another Carmenere from Concha y Toro , the Casillero del Diablo 2008 Reserve. The Marques de Concha Casa, at $20, was definitely the best of the three, although the Casillero del Diablo was a great buy. This is the third of the Carmenere wines I tasted this month. And Peter's wine was special in that it was bottled in December of 2008 - it has aged for over three years in bottle. L083532" means that the wine was bottled in 2008 on the 353rd day of that year - December 18th (it was a leap year), from bottling line number 2. little cloudy, almost.
