WHY WINE BLOG | SATURDAY, JULY 31, 2010 Treleaven Wines Meritage 2007 did stop at one and tasted their 2007 Meritage. say that because my luck has never been too good when tasting at a market or street fair and buying what I thought was an OK wine at the time. Treleaven Meritage 2007 produced and bottled by King Ferry Winery in King Ferry NY was exactly what was needed for the steak. MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | MONDAY, AUGUST 24, 2009 Why Wine: Joeshico Wine Review; White Springs Gewurztraminer 2007 Before now I have never tasted Gewurztraminer. Well it's time to try a new wine, at least new to me. Please, no comments on that issue. It took me over 30 years to appreciate any white wine, and now that I do, I am trying them all. The first was OK and will be nice at a evening get-together, but not one I would bring to the party. Great Buy! MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2009 Why Wine: Joeshico Wine Review; Glenora Wine Cellars Gewurztraminer 2007 Aroma's were more floral like roses or hyacinths with a bit of peach and the taste was a little more fruity and dry. Finally, he has listened to his dad. Great Buy! MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2010 Conconnan Conservancy Peite Sirah 2007 The past few months I have been tasting, or should I say consuming, some really fantastic California wines from many different AVA's. Tonight I am enjoying a Petite Sirah from the Livermore Valley, a Concannon Convservancy 2007. The 2007 is the first vintage from the new Conservancy program and is available nationally. must buy! WHY WINE BLOG | SUNDAY, MARCH 7, 2010 Concha y Toro Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere 2007 It's been a few years since I tasted Carmenere. Tonight I opened a second choice, The Concha y Toro Marques de Casa Concha 2007. If I remember right, it was a take it or leave it, nothing special, too many other fine wines, don't shop for wine. The first was disappointing. It lacked the dark fruit and the balance. MORE >>
