The end of the year holidays are already here, and although it is a joyous time, it can also be a stressful time. | BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE NOVEMBER 24, 2008 Why I Hate/Love New York Other goodies too, like Gonon St Joseph, Brick House Gamay, Binner Pinot Noir.what fun! We stared with two half-glasses of the excellent 2006 Ren é Mosse Anjou , an oxidatively delicious Chenin Blanc. I'm not going to sugar-coat it for you, folks. grew up here and I understand its appeal, but New York City makes me crazy sometimes. | | DR. VINO JULY 31, 2009 Three light, rewarding reds under $20: Produttori, Pataille, Michaud Produttori del Barbaresco, Langhe, Nebbiolo , 2006 about $19. Domaine Sylvain Pataille, Bourgogne-Passetoutgrains, 2006. But the practice gets a big “oui in the appellation of Bourgogne-Passetoutgrains where the wines must be only one-third pinot noir with the balance the gamay grape. Produttori del Barbaresco, Barbaresco, 2006 : This excellent nebbiolo can age (the 1978 is drinking well today, apparently ). Cabernet franc grown on limestone from a top grower in Chinon. Under $30. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2010 JD Headrick's Wines at Rouge Tomate 2007 Claux Delorme Valençay , about $16, is a delicious blend of Malbec, Gamay, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir. Lighter in body than the 2006, it continues to impress me as a full bodied wine that is fit for richer meaty dishes, and yet has a light enough mouth feel to be very good to drink on its own. Silly me. MORE >> -
