And This Time It's Personal When the time came, I found myself still buying a couple bottles of one of my favorite Pax Cellars Wine, the Kobler Family Vineyard Russian River Valley Syrah, thinking it would be the last time. and a 2006 Sonoma Coast Syrah Prices range from $32 to $45, about 30% less than Pax Wine Cellars. | WINE TASTING GUY MAY 5, 2008  NorCal day 2: Sonoma ended up in Healdsburg in the Russian River and started at a winery called Sausal winery. Maybe he simply lacked personality. Ahhhh. | WINE TASTING GUY APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts began in a French table area and tried some Sancerres (made from Sauvignon Blanc), some white Burgundys (made from Chardonnay) and some white blends. The standout of the bunch was the Boulay Sancerre La Comtesse 2006, which has a subtle perfumi-ness, some nice minerality, and a fabulous mouth feel. The 2006 Morey-St. don't know. | | | | | | | |

This guy had some money and was looking to diversify with vineyards all over Spain as well as California's Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley. little bit about the wine: It is a 2006 Miguel Torres Chilean viognier. The 2006 of Dumol's "Lia," a Russian River Valley Viognier was super: rich and ripe fruit, tight body, good length. We also cracked another bottle of 2004 Far Niente Napa Valley Chardonnay The 1997 Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello is a sometimes gorgeous wine. And before that, I had been less than wowed. MORE >> -
