BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2007 A Swing and a Miss My most recent case of charring by an established Burgundy producer came at the hands of Francois et Antoine Jobard or Meursault. opened a bottle of 2002 Meursault en la Barre, a wine that retailed for about $50 back then, and man, did I feel unsyatisfied, as John Malkovich said in Rounders. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2007 Martin Scott Portfolio Continued - White Burgundy comment before getting started: I continue to notice that I seem to prefer the style of the 2004 vintage over the 2005 for whites in Burgundy. 2005 Domaine Bernard Moreau et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet (7+, M) Nose not revealing much right now, pleasant white fleshy fruit and a light texture. Not elegant, but not overwhelming either. MORE >> -

When we learned that we would be visiting Domaines famous for white wine, we were excited. MORE >> -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2006 A Great Tasting at Moillard Grivot Our tasting notes: 2005 Moillard Grivot Meursault 1er Cru Charmes , E29. After a morning enjoying excellent wine in upstart Pernand Vergelesses, we decided that it was time for the classics, something monumental, something from Cotes de Nuits. And you don't need an appointment. The house was literally the tip of the iceberg. MORE >>
