Don't think I would have with any fish, but definitely a nice wine for lamb or a nice pork roast or even a good angus beef hamburger. then moved onto the 2005 Hayne Vineyard Zin & '05 reserve Zin. Definitely a great food wine. tried the Volker Eisele 2005 Cab which was nice and somewhat subdued and finally the Showkett Vineyards 2005 Cab. had a Sauvignon Blanc from Modus Operandi that was very nice, crisp, grassy & citrusy. began in a French table area and tried some Sancerres (made from Sauvignon Blanc), some white Burgundys (made from Chardonnay) and some white blends. wine I will definitely keep an eye out for in the future. wine I really loved and found quite unique was the 2005 Domaine de Roally Vire'-Clesse' from the Macconnais, France.
