Mid-term Cellaring Results
2005 Paul Pernot Beaune Clos du Dessus des Marconnets , $23, Fruit of the Vines Imports. Paul Pernot Rhône Valley Eric Texier Closel Beaujolais Marcel Lapierre Savennières BurgundyThe results have not been terribly impressive so far. Kind of like reading an old journal entry. Boy, did I love this wine a few years ago. Live and learn.

Comparing the 2008 and 2009 Vintages in Burgundy via Domaine Fourrier
Not as perfect as 2005, but this is a vintage of big wines that should age well. This one will definitely have a place in my cellar.

would also have to have some Burgundy, and the 2005 vintage in the Côte de Beaune is where the good values are to be found in plentiful quantities.

I Learned that I Know Nothing About Wine
There was everything from Grand Cru Burgundy to Barolo to Sancerre ros é. This is the one that I must buy for my own cellar. should pull the few bottles I have out of the cellar and drink them over the next year or two. The Burgundies were not so impressive, on the whole. Same is true with wine, I would say. Who knew.

Wine of the Week - Mugneret-Gibourg Bourgogne
This wine, even though it is a humble Bourgogne, has the structure to improve in the cellar for a few more years. can emphatically say yes.
