WINE TASTING GUY | WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts His 2004 Neiman Cellars Napa Valley Red is a blend of 1/3 Cab Sauvignon, 1/3 Merlot, & 1/3 Cab Franc. Sadly Pam was not there, but her 2005 Cab Franc & 2004 Cab Sauv were. The 2004 C & S "Stone Place" Cabernet Sauvignon also had a very nice round & velvety mouth feel. Zinfandels and 1 Syrah. don't know. MORE >> -

No, not the Petit Sirah/Zin blend - another people know is a favorite of mine. Rather it was a 2004 (I think) Recanati Reserve Cabernet Franc. Worth a shot! MORE >> -
WINE TASTING GUY | TUESDAY, MARCH 25, 2008 Skurnik Tasting - my favorites (finally) And finally the Peay 2005 "La Bruma" Estate Syrah, which I was told came from a very cool Syrah site, was also not a fruit bomb like some of the other Syrah's I tried. The 2003 "1er Etage" Cab Franc was blended with 2% Petit Verdot and had very subtle green notes but was was nice as well. Great stuff. MORE >> -
