An excellent wine, the best example of Barbera that I've ever had. 2006 Paitin di Pasquero-Elia Barbera d'Alba Serra Boella , about $17. Fantastic. wonder.is | WINE TASTING GUY OCTOBER 26, 2008 Wine starts in the Vineyard - Golan Heights Winery The 2004 Yarden El Rom Cabernet, a single vineyard Cab made from 3 blocks at the El Rom vineyard is a wine that appears to be quite ageworthy, yet it remained somewhat closed and required significant aeration to show its big black fruit, interesting cedar & clove aromas and concentrated flavors. looks a little freaky huh. | WINE TASTING GUY MAY 4, 2008 Day in Napa had a 2004 " The Sisters " Cab made with 8% Cab Franc. Moving onto the reds, I tried a 2005 "J & S Reserve" Barbera by Scott Harvey Wines that had an almost cab like nose with ripe fruit a nice mouthfeel and a nice finish. My day began in LA with an early flight from LAX to SFO. rented a car at SFO and made my way to wine country. | | | | | | | | | -
