If tales like that sound familiar, you may recall Mondovino, the 2004 Jonathan Nossiter documentary about globalization in the wine industry. Welcome to Ms. | | WINE TASTING GUY APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts Moving to the Rhone valley in France I tried some wines from Eric Texier. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2008 By the Glass - 2005 Muscadet Edition 2005 was the vintage of the century in Bordeaux, the vintage of the millennium in Burgundy, the finest post-World War II vintage in the Rhône, and the greatest vintage in recent memory in the Loire. wonder how they'll stack up against their unheralded brethren from the "classic" 2004 vintage, for example. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2008 More Dressner / Polaner Highlights - Reds Domaine Filliatreau, Saumur-Champigny - the 2005 Saumur-Champigny Grande-Vignolle was one of my favorite Loire Valley everyday reds, when it was around. The 2004 Chinon les Picasses and the 2005 Bourgueil les Perri è res were both dense wines, full of fruit and earth. And it probably needs a bit more time in the bottle. MORE >>
