BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2008 By the Glass - Purity Edition It's lovely right upon opening, but with a little airtime there are incredibly well defined aromas of pure and clean Gamay fruit, iron, and very mild brett. And it's not a cop-out to describe an aroma as " Gamay fruit." This wine smells like Gamay, and that's a beautiful thing, when done properly. It's part of their style. MORE >> -
VIGNA UVA VINO | WEDNESDAY, MAY 28, 2008 Baltailles Beaujolais 2004 Gamay Village The Gamay grape is used primarily in the production of Beaujolais wines in France. This Baltailles Beaujolais 2004 is a cloudy light garnet color, probably unfiltered, with a bouquet that at first has a little more funk than I would expect, but transforms on the palate into a silky soft earthiness with high acidity and low tannins.
