BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 2011 Champagne News My favorite so far is the exquisite 2004 Quinte Essence Brut, made of 60% Pinot, 25% Meunier, and 15% Chardonnay from vineyards in Belval-sous-Châtillon (if I understood correctly). But Coteaux Champenois can be as beautifully perfumed, elegant, and hauntingly delicious as a lot of expensive Burgundy wine. That's right.3 cases. MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | SUNDAY, AUGUST 9, 2009 Why Wine: Joeshico Wine Review; Henry Estate Oregon Pinot Noir 2006 Very comparable to French Burgundy in my opinion. Sometimes you just get lucky when searching out a wine. dropped into a local shop this week and during a conversation with the shop owner I had asked if he had any wines from Oregon. He did. He actually had one. It was a Pinot Noir. Pricey, but good. My Notes: It is earthy with a little mint. MORE >> -
