ALICE FEIRING SEPTEMBER 13, 2008 Alice Feiring - In Vino Veritas Then there was that California style Bordeaux, narrowing the margin between the wines, moving a wine I sort of like (Bordeaux) too close to a wine I really didnt warm to, (Napa Cab/Merlot). Julien and Margaux and too bad for them, only have an appellation of Haut Medoc, instead of their more prestigious neighbors. They became the norm. One such wine was the 2003 Chateau Clarke Listrac-medoc. blend of 70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has a deep rich ruby color with aroma's of black fruit, chocolate and coffee. MORE >>
