VINO OCTOBER 6, 2009 Natural wines, premox, chenin blanc, 07 Port and Rhone – John Gilman Again, this is not the same mentality that would have any meaningful representation today in places like Bordeaux or Napa Valley, but one sees this same phenomenon at work quite often in Burgundy and elsewhere, so it is not a unique Piemontese mentality. asked him six questions; he replied with over 10,000 words! think not. am not hopeful. | WINE TASTING GUY APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts Moving to the Rhone valley in France I tried some wines from Eric Texier. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | FRIDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2006 End of the Year Round Up really liked it though, and I imagine that it is amongst the best such Cabernet Franc wines of the Loire Valley. The Bretons are, to me, amongst the most reliable producers of red wine in the Loire Valley right now. Oregon 2002 St Innocent Seven Springs , $32. 2002 Domaine Robert Groffier Bourgogne , $26. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, APRIL 14, 2008 Familiar Places, New Friends 2005 was a very good year in Savennières, as it was in most of France.
