    Technique and Terroir in the Jura
    One of the confusing and intriguing things about Jura wines is the distinction between technique and terroir. By technique I mean sous-voile , or under-the-veil wine making, a style in which wine is intentionally oxidized. In the hands of a good producer, sous-voile wines are completely delicious. want to know.

    Best bet (kosher) Israeli wines for Passover - at all price ranges.
    I have been asked by countless people which wines I would recommend they check out for Passover, so I thought it appropriate to blog for the masses. am not going to go into ALL kosher wines but I will discuss where my passion lay, Israeli wines. am sorry to say that I am not much a fan of ANY wine in this range. category.

    Jenny & Francois Portfolio Tasting
    In case you're not familiar with Jenny & Francois , they import natural wines from all over France, from heavy hitters like Burgundy to unsung heroes like the Côtes de Duras (just northeast of Bordeaux, and considered Southwest France). Maybe it's just odd wine making. But I liked these wines at this tasting.

    Clos Rougeard.if I Ever Go Back
    BrooklynLady and I went to France together for the first time in October of 2005. We went to the Loire Valley and our plan was to see the various villages, and Tours, of course, but also to feast on the wonderful food and wines of the region. That said, if I could do it all over I would go about visiting wine estates differently.
