Orange ya glad you asked? Levi Dalton on orange wines
Zidarich 2005 Vitovska. Zidarich 2005 Malvasia. For example, you can still find Gravner 2001 and 2002 bottlings around without much trouble in NYC market. Orange wines are sweeping the nation! Well, something like that. These white wines emerge from their fermentation on the grape skins with a rich, sometimes orange, hue.

Wines of Canada – Seriously Cool Chardonnay
First off, the seminar was very well organized. I'd venture to say most journalists appreciated all the maps, the nicely organized and printed source material, the well-orchestrated tasting sheets, and the USB plugs for more information. Burrowing Owl Estate Winery 2005. Closson Chase Vineyards Beamsville Bench 2005.

Daniel and Cedric show us a map, indicating how the decision was made to re-organize the vineyard in terms of the different soils an in-depth survey has brought to light. The Control Room.

Tasting the Wines of Jaques Lassaigne
Jenny & François import these wines for the east coast, and they organized a tasting in a small and very comfortable setting that actually encouraged conversation, instead of merely offering a glass and a spit bucket. blend of grapes from 8 parcels, this version is 72% 2006, the rest 2005. 2002 Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs , $90.

Technique and Terroir in the Jura
Yet Tissot was there, as were a few others that are already imported, so I don't really know how this was organized. Pinte's 2002 Vin Jaune was also promising, but the enamel-stripping acidity and tightly wound youth of the wine made it hard to evaluate for a Vin Jaune neophyte like myself. About work in the vineyards? want to know.

    Wine of the Week
Some said that biodynamic, organic, and otherwise natural growers would have a particularly tough time in 2007 because of their reluctance to treat their vines against rot, but this seems not to be true, from what I've tasted so far. In contrast to the 2005 or 2002, it is not an exuberant wine, even after 3 days open.

    Friday Night Bubbles
He brought a few truly special bottles of wine from France for this dinner, one of which was the 2002 Benoît Lahaye Brut Champagne Millésime. This version is, anyway, which I am guessing is based on 2005 grapes, bottled in 2006, and disgorged in August of 2008 based on the hard-to-spot code on the back label that reads "08 2008."

BrooklynLady and I went to France together for the first time in October of 2005. Had I used this kind of thinking a few years ago I would have purchased and cellared some of the 2002 Le Bourg. have not had the cohones to open one of my two bottles of 2002 Les Poyeux, which is a good thing, as this should be an incredible wine.

Silver Burgundy Roudup - WBW #39
Before getting into the specifics, here are a few things that jump out at me when looking at our notes as a whole: 9 out of the 14 reds tasted were from the 2005 vintage, a ripe and glorious year. Lyle Fass of Rockss and Fruit also participates for the first time, writing about a Tres Vieille Vignes 2005 Mâcon Bussieres by Eric Texier.
