Pauillac Lunch with the Wine Media Guild
The venue, a private room at Felidia in New York City, where outside the large window one could see trees swaying in the rain and wind. This was changed when the British market demanded the “new claret” which was barrel aged instead of served fresh and young. Chateau Mouton Rothschild: 1995 and Petit-Mouton 2005.

Wines of Canada – Seriously Cool Chardonnay
The seminar and tasting for New York journalists was held March 8 and included a larger representation of cool climate VQA Chardonnays featuring 54 wines from 31 Canadian wineries located in British Columbia and Ontario. Oak was a key element, with some producers using new oak and others more restrained. Exultet Estates 2009.

And I'll use the beginning of the new year as an excuse to do this. get to do much more than I did back then, as the New York City wine community has, luckily for me, welcomed me into it's folds. Here's what we had: (2005) Cédric Bouchard Roses de Jeanne Les Ursules Brut Blanc de Noirs - solo. It was delicious.
