BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | SUNDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2006 Some Paris Restaurants That's right, I have now finished posting about our Burgundy trip. had a green salad, something I missed while in Burgundy, BrooklynLady had snail risotto (I was so proud of her). The place was tiny, with maybe 8 tables, and definitely low key, but everything was delicious. very small space, but thankfully nonsmoking. MORE >> -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2007 Wine with the In-Laws, San Diego Style 2001 Hafner Reserve Chardonnay, Alexander Valley - Great nose of vanilla and tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus too. Over the hill, flat with no discernable acidity, not unpleasant but definitely past its prime. I'm lucky because my father in-law likes wine and keeps some good bottles in the house. 500 bottles of wine in the bins! MORE >> -

If you spend $55 on a Burgundy, are you definitely getting the finest example? 2001 Saumur-Champigny (tasted in September, 2007). 2001 Saumur-Champigny Les Poyeux (tasted in September, 2006).
