But either way, it was an amazing visit to the Havens winery where my good friend Connie runs the tasting room. She proceeded to open a 2000 Syrah that they recently re-released and it was great. Either way, while it was overwhelming, I tasted some very fine wines and met some very personable and charming winemakers (or winery proprietors). began in a French table area and tried some Sancerres (made from Sauvignon Blanc), some white Burgundys (made from Chardonnay) and some white blends. don't know. great wine.
