This is focused, ultra-pure and clean Burgundy Chardonnay, lean, but balanced and delicious. | BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE SEPTEMBER 19, 2007 Champagne Notes from the Martin Scott Portfolio I had the distinct pleasure of going to the Martin Scott Portfolio Tasting last week at the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center. tried a new rating system this time, scoring wines out of 10 points and writing only the briefest of notes in order to speed myself up. 2000 Schramsberg Vineyards Reserve (8) 70% Pinot Noir here. | | | | | | | | | -

Lassaigne makes at least five wines, but I've seen only two of them here in New York: this Blanc de Blancs and also the 2000 vintage wine, a non-dosage wine, one bottle of which is presently napping in my little cellar.
