WINE TASTING GUY | SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2008 What a Day! 2 Wine Tastings!! So following the Bordeaux Blanc we opened a 1998 Chateau Monbousquet St. of Syrah was very interesting. A Sangiovese/ Syrah/Cab Franc blend was intriguing and determined to be a great food wine. While I went away (within Israel) for the sabbath to a friend of the family. WINE TASTING GUY | WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts got to try the Lopez de Heredia Gravonia Rioja Blanco Crianza 1998, Tondonia Rioja Blanco Reserva 1989 & Tondonia Rioja Blanco Gran Reserva 1981. Syrahs & 2 Cab's were tried at the tasting. The least cost prohibitive wine of the bunch was the 2006 Arnot-Roberts Syrah Clary Ranch and the one I found most interesting. MORE >> -

Light and lively with strong acidity, but not off-putting, as it can be in young Syrahs sometimes. 1998 Chateau de Cabrieres Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Prestige Tete de Cru , $33 (Wine Commune).
