We followed up with Mondavi Napa Valley Merlot 2005 ** which is less robust than the 2004, and not quite as fruity, but is more subtle, and a generally good value wine at $16 | SLAKED OCTOBER 26, 2008 Bloggers Pop Your Corks! Last up was a Fife "Spring Mountain" Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 1995 which was much younger, with less acidity and much riper fruit - no green notes at all. Parker's review for the 100 point 1995 Ch. Monte Bello is my favorite winery/vineyard.
