VINO OCTOBER 6, 2009 Natural wines, premox, chenin blanc, 07 Port and Rhone – John Gilman perfect example in my opinion of going over the top and valuing the process over the results could be seen with Domaine Leroy’s wines in the great, great red Burgundy vintage of 1993. SLAKED | SATURDAY, MARCH 6, 2010 1978 Adrien Bellamd Corton-Perriere Grand Cru * Also tasted 1993 Louis Jadot Bonnes mare leaner and more rustic with tart dry cherries and a note of chalk. WINE TASTING GUY | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2008 Best bet (kosher) Israeli wines for Passover - at all price ranges. The oldest one I tried was a 1993, but I've also had the '97, '99 and have recently been drinking the 2002, & 2003. Relative to other wine producing regions (think California or France) this is still a very reasonable price point, but to be completely honest none of these wines get me too excited. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2007 The Finest Value Red of the Season This is one of those small appellations, obscure I guess (but this blog is not esoteric, dammit), created only 14 years ago in 1993. For red wine Pinot Noir, Gamay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and the obscure Pineau d'Aunis are allowed. But in this case, I'm going for it. It's the 2006 Clos du Tue-Boeuf Cheverny.
