All are superb. | SLAKED MARCH 16, 2009 1991 Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello * The 1991 Monte Bello * has been hailed as "one of the most delicious vintages of Monte Bello" and one of the " wines that one must try at least once in their life." From 85% caberent sauvignon, 10% merlot and 5% petit verdot, the wine nevertheless sounded a striking note of graphite and crushed stones. | SLAKED DECEMBER 1, 2008 1995 Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello Composed of 69% cabernet sauvignon , 18% merlot , 10% petit verdot , and 3% cabernet franc, the wine is dark and brooding, with complex notes of cedar and blackberry on the nose. Parker scored it 94-96 points, and compared it to "the great 1992 and 1991." At thirteen, the 1995 Monte Bello is still a child. It won't. | |
