E. Guigal Gigondas 2007
The region, once a Cotes-du-Rhone village, earned its own appellation in 1971. Tonight I decided to open up and sip on my lone bottle of French wine, the Gigondas, a blend of Grenache (60%), Mourvèdre (30%), and Syrah (10%). I very rarely buy, order or drink French wines. nice dark garnet red color filled the glass.

WINE TASTING GUY |
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts
stumbled upon a 1971 (yes that is older than me) Moulin Touchais Coteaux de Layon made in the Loire Valley of France. Interestingly enough, they make a 100% grenache wine called the (2005) St. Syrahs & 2 Cab's were tried at the tasting. Zinfandels and 1 Syrah. don't know. And there was 1 rose' that I tried.
