The Caprai winery and vineyards lie on the hillside below the Umbrian hilltop town of Montefalco. So I just received two wines today from producer Arnaldo-Caprai. The Grecante, a white, is 100% Grechetto from Dei Colli Martani. | DR. WHY WINE BLOG | SUNDAY, JUNE 28, 2009 A Day in the Finger Lakes Shirley and I started out a little late, but were able to taste some outstanding wines at five equally outstanding wineries along the southern east side of the Seneca Lake Trail and the west side of Keuka Lake. put this stop first because it is definitely my favorite New York winery. WINE TASTING GUY | WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts Either way, while it was overwhelming, I tasted some very fine wines and met some very personable and charming winemakers (or winery proprietors). Moving to the Rhone valley in France I tried some wines from Eric Texier. Next to Texier was Domaine Franck Peillot from the Bugey region of France (a place I had never previously heard of). MORE >>
