Lamùri, which means “The Love” in Sicilian dialect, reflects its name very well. 900 acres, produce 2,500,000 bottles annually? No wine purchased ?No grapes purchased? Made from 100% Nero d'Avola? | | | | | | | | | WINE TASTING GUY MARCH 25, 2008 Skurnik Tasting - my favorites (finally) have previously mentioned the 1967 Barolo I was fortunate to be able to try. It was from the E Pira (Chiara Boschis) & Borgogno winery and it was a 1967 "Giacomo Borgogno" Barolo Riserva (how is that for a mouthful?). I've mentioned this event twice and have promised to write a more comprehensive review. Great stuff. | WINE TASTING GUY MARCH 19, 2008 2 Wine tasting events - Part 2 tasted California wines, Oregon wines, French wines, Italian wines, young wines, sweet wines, old wines (I had an AMAZING 1967 Barolo that was very much alive & a 1993 Chardonnay that sadly tasted oxidized). The first wine tasting event I attended today was a portfolio tasting for Skurnik wines. What an amazing tasting. | | | | | | | | | |
