| | ALICE FEIRING JANUARY 21, 2008 Alice Feiring - In Vino Veritas Feiring is pronounced Fire-ing (as in squad) January 19, 2008. For years I never corrected the mispronounciation of my name. It never made a difference until I had to accept my James Beard award when Lidia called out Alice FEARing | WINE TASTING GUY JANUARY 25, 2008 A new kind of blog post - wine deals! I receive somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-8 emails/day from various online wine retailers. From Wine.com to wine Library it is a wonder there is not a professional association for "Addicted wine buyers anonymous" (I would be the "President and also a member"!). WINE TASTING GUY | SUNDAY, JANUARY 20, 2008 What makes a good wine? What makes a wine GOOD ? Is it a high score from a critic? Is it a technically well made wine (proper balance of tannins, alcohol, acid, fruit, etc.)? Is it a wine with a nice mouth feel? OR, is it simply a wine that YOU like? OBVIOUSLY, this is a loaded question. With regards to consumers, this question is both complicated and straight forward. MORE >>
